How to get rid of scars with natural remedies

Scars appear as a result of an injury, stretch marks from pregnancy or weight changes, due to surgery or even acne. There are four main types of scars i.e. keloid scars, hypertrophic scars, contracture scars, and acne scars.

Keloid scars are the result of a healing process from an injury, typically extending beyond the original injury due to mechanical forces on the wound and possible wound infections.

Hypertrophic scars are similar to a keloid in that it’s raised, but they don’t go beyond the injured area.

Contracture scars are the result of a burn on the skin. Typically, these scars tighten the skin, possibly impairing the ability to move that area.

Acne Scars happen when acne breakouts penetrate the skin deeply and damage the skin and the tissue beneath it causing scarring.

Natural scar removal remedies:

Shea Butter and Coconut Oil can help prevent a scar or keep a scar from getting too large, deep or itchy. The omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants in both shea butter and coconut oil have been shown to inhibit keloid scar tissue and repair skin.

Aloe Vera can help with many skin conditions, including treating scars. It soothes the damaged skin and helps regenerate the damaged tissues by boosting the healing process. In addition, the wound-healing effects of aloe vera have been verified extensively, including its ability to remove scarring.

Tea Tree oil is an amazing natural remedy for healing scars because it has antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. It’s most beneficial in healing hypertrophic scars and may gradually diminish the scar and help prevent and regenerate damaged skin.

Emu Oil is rich in omega fatty acids and has the ability to deeply penetrate and, therefore, deeply moisturize. For this reason, it can minimize the appearance of scars, ultimately promoting the skin’s natural healing process.

Apple Cider Vinegar is an astringent and a natural disinfectant that makes it a great antiseptic and an effective treatment of acne and acne scars. And because apple cider vinegar can help eliminate dead skin cells, it may even help fade away acne scars.
