Nighttime skin care

Nighttime skin care

It is very important to take care of the skin before going to bed. You need to have a routine adopted to your skin type. But, some of the steps are the same for every skin type.

During the nighttime, the skin starts a process of renewal, so it should get the best care in order to function properly.

  1. The most important step – remove the makeup. It is essential to remove the makeup at the end of the day. The makeup products, like the foundation, close the pores, so the skin can’t breathe. The toxins accumulate in your skin and if you don’t remove the makeup, the skin will be gray, with acne and with wrinkles. So, it is obligatory to remove the makeup before going to bed.

  1. Cleanse the skin. After you have removed the makeup, you need to cleanse the skin. You can use micellar waters, tonics and soaps to cleanse the skin.

It is better to use the micellar water and the tonic during the day and to use a soap to cleanse the skin before going to bed. The soap should be adapted on your skin type and shouldn’t disturb the pH of the skin.

  1. Apply a sleeping mask. Once or twice per week, you need to apply a sleeping mask. This mask should be rinsed in the morning, so, you need to sleep with it. This mask is very important, because it helps the skin regenerate. The sleeping masks are different from the regular face masks, because those masks are richer in vitamins and are more hydrating.

  1. Apply a night cream. Because the sleeping mask should be applied once or twice per week, on the other days of the week you need to apply a night cream. The night cream is different from the day cream, because it has an oilier structure. You can also add several drops of your favorite essential oil in your day cream, in order to have the same effect.

Having a nighttime skin care routine is very important, but, the good sleep is essential in order to have a glowing skin. You need to sleep for 8 hours to have a healthy skin.
