The most important vitamins for a proper skin function are the following ones: vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin A.

The vitamin A is the most present in the carrots and its role is to renew the cells of the bones, the teeth, to improve the immunity system and to improve the vision. But this vitamin is also beneficial for the skin.

- In which foods can we find the vitamin A? The vitamin A is essential in order to have a glowing skin resistible to infections and well hydrated. Because we can't take additional food supplements without a medical supervision, we can find it in those foods: carrots, cheese, cod liver oil, spinach, meat, zucchinis, eggs, papaya, butter, raspberries, milk etc.

 

- The vitamin A increases the production of melanin. The vitamin A increases the melanin's production, a pigment responsible for the skin's color. By eating foods rich with vitamin A, you can get a tanned complexion.

It's the melanin that protects the skin from the bad UV rays. All of the sunscreen contain beta - carotene. The beta - carotene may contain one or two vitamin A molecules.

You shouldn't exceed the daily dose nor to take less than recommended, because the skin will be dehydrated and dry. 

 

- The vitamin A has an anti - inflammatory action. The vitamin A has an anti - inflammatory action on the skin. This means that the vitamin A protects the skin from infections.

A skin which lacks vitamin A it's a skin which is not resistant to infections.

 

The vitamin A can also be found in a form of a retinol.
